1997:
Mike Rhyno, President of General Magnetics Technology, leaves GMT to establish MSR as a subcontract manufacturer of inductors and transformers in China on behalf of General Magnetics Technology.
1999:
MSR Electronics expands its subcontract manufacturing to new clients, including JW Miller, OBP, Cooper/Bussmann, Summit, and Excel Electric Corporation.
2001:
MSR Electronics expands again by starting to sell directly to OEM clients, including Cherokee Power Systems, Hughes Network Systems (DirecTV), XM Satellite Radio, Ultravation, and others.
2003:
MSR Electronics expands once more. Starts selling to PCB subcontract assemby companies in Asia such as Flextronics Malaysia, Foxconn China.
2004:
MSR Electronics launches first web site. Starts adding regional U.S. Sales Representatives.
2006:
MSR Electronics opens warehouse hub sites in California and Hong Kong
2009:
MSR Electronics purchases competitor Excel Electric Corporation. Establishes I.C. Reference designs for Semiconductor Manufacturers Intersil and Echelon. Enters the European market adding new customers in Sweden, France, and the United Kingdom.
